Brunch.

If there is one thing I love more than fashion and clothing, it is without a doubt, food, and eating in general.

This past weekend, I had a chance to go to one of my favorite brunch places in Montreal, and it somehow turned into quite an unplanned and unnecessary adventure just to get to the restaurant, L'Avenue. Maybe it was because I did not have a cup of coffee yet to help me properly function throughout my day, or possibly because I was in a complete hunger state of mind that I could not comprehend what was going on and lost all focus of the objective of getting to the restaurant. Of course, we eventually made it to the restaurant and thank goodness it was not too busy and there was no ridiculously long lineup out the door like there usually is. I decided to go with one of my favorites on the menu, which basically consists of the classic brunch foods, such as French toast (or as the menu put it, pain doré), bacon (which I was never a fan of, but now I am slowly and ever so slightly, acquiring a taste for it), scrambled eggs, assorted fruits, and my favorite, the bite-sized cuts of Rosemary seasoned potatoes. Thanks to my "hearty" appetite, I was able to completely devour my breakfast, along with two cups of coffee. Because of my desperation for coffee, I did not order any of the other drinks on the menu, but I was completely fascinated and in awe over how delicious that strawberry smoothie or milkshake looked (not sure which one it was, but I am slightly leaning towards thinking it was a milkshake). I think I definitely need to order some sort of fruity breakfast drink the next time I eat at L'Avenue.
