This editorial for Elle France's July 2011 issue reminds me why I love the weather before it gets extremely cold and the streets are infested with little white snowflakes.
I like to consider that the "transition time period". I could still wear my favorite shorts from that summer, yet pair it with my favorite warm knit pieces that were a bit too thick and cozy for the hot summer months. I suppose wearing the summer pieces is also a way for me to hold onto that last thread of blissfully hot weather, and a way to slowly embrace the colder months ahead. There is something so-chic, yet boho about a (faux) fur vest that can also easily make an otherwise ridiculously basic outfit completely perfect. Nothing like tucking in a crisp button-down shirt with a pair of skinnies - absolutely classic and uncomplicated.
